What is Endometrial Receptivity Kit for?
A woman’s endometrium is receptive when it is ready for the embryo implantation, which generally occurs between days 19-21 of every menstrual cycle. This receptivity interval is known as window of implantation and takes place 7 days post endogenous LH peak (LH+7) if a natural cycle, or 5.5 days after the first progesterone dose (P+5.5) in a hormone replacement cycle.
Approximately 30% of the patients have a shifted window of implantation. Performing the embryo transfer outside this window is one of the causes for recurrent implantation failure. Detecting this situation allows to adapt the embryo transfer for the optimal time of each patient, thus preventing implantation failures.
When is the Endometrial Receptivity Kit indicated?
The Endometrial Receptivity kit will provide clinically useful information regarding the status of the patient’s window of implantation. This being valuable to schedule the embryo transfer in a personalized manner.
It is specially indicated for couples who, despite having good morphology and/or chromosomally normal embryos (tested by PGT-A), experience recurrent implantation failures since a displacement of the window of implantation may be the underlying cause.
How is performed?
This test requires an endometrial biopsy obtained 7 days post endogenous LH peak (LH+7) in a natural cycle, or 5.5 days after the first progesterone dose (P+5.5) in a hormone replacement cycle. The biopsy is smoothly obtained by a physician and sent in the cryotube provided by the referring genetic laboratory.
The results
The Endometrial Receptivity Kit assists to determine the functional stage of the endometrium. It enables to schedule the embryo transfer on the most suitable date, increasing the chances of embryo implantation and pregnancy.
Based on a transcriptomic analysis and using an artificial intelligence algorithm, 400 are analyzed to subsequently categorized the endometrium into receptive, post-receptive and pre-receptive.
